Update on Waterloo books to our Kickstarter and BackerKit customers in the UK and EU

As of December 15 (US time zone) the Waterloo books, with add-on items, were shipped to all of our UK Kickstarter and BackerKit backers.
After we started shipping packages to EU countries from our UK location last week, UPS and the alternative shipping systems Royal Mail, DPD, etc., stopped accepting packages from us through their online sites.
We don't know when we will be able to start shipping to the rest of our EU customers, but it looks like any UK-EU orders received after December 15 and most of the previous EU Kickstarter and BackerKit customers will not receive your Waterloo books before Christmas. Hopefully, your books should arrive before the New Year.
The 1st Italian Campaign books were shipped from the USA but have not yet been delivered to our guy in the UK. These books will be repacked and mailed as quickly as possible.

Andy Loakes, owner of Limey Yank Games in the UK, received delivery of the copies intended for UK and EU backers. Likewise, John Stringer, our man in New Zealand, received delivery of the copies intended for NZ and AUS backers. (See photos below.)

These books arrived in bulk cartons as shown. They are now being repacked in bubble wrap and placed into individual shipping boxes. They will be shipped as quickly as we can get them ready and labeled! (We are each one-man operations, but hopefully the books will be delivered before or right after Christmas.)

The printer sent the bulk of the Waterloo books via ocean freight last week. The freight forwarding company estimates this sea container should reach Oakland, California around mid- to late-December. If that holds true, backers in the USA-Canada (and the countries outside the UK-EU and NZ-AUS) should receive their books in early 2022. Updates will be posted as soon as we have more information.
For those USA and Canadian customers who paid extra for air freight, the books arrived at our Oakland, California warehouse (see photo below). These will be packaged individually and shipped via the US Postal Service as fast as we can assemble and label them.
Books were sent via air freight by the Chinese printer and have started arriving at our forwarding agents in the UK-EU and NZ-AUS. For some reason the cartons have been arriving over a period of several days instead of all together. We will keep everyone updated.
Credit cards have been charged for shipping to Kickstarter backers and post-KS customers, and for any add-ons that were ordered.
If you have no address or other changes, you do not need to do anything – just wait for your book and add-ons to arrive.
We will update you as soon as we have more information about the status of these shipments.
The printed books have arrived at our USA warehouse and are starting to arrive at the UK and NZ warehouses.
Post-Kickstarter shipping costs & add-on orders will be locked on Saturday 16 October

The printer is now preparing the air freight cartons for the UK and Europe, New Zealand (and Australia), and a limited number to our California warehouse, PLUS the sea container with the bulk of the printed books coming to our US warehouse.
Therefore, it is time to LOCK ALL ORDERS on BackerKit. You must change any part of your order (credit card, add-ons, etc.) by this SATURDAY 16 OCTOBER.
Credit cards will then be charged on 20 October.
If you have no changes you do not need to do anything – just wait for your book and add-ons to arrive.
We will update you as soon as we have more information about the status of these shipments.
Latest shipping news to our backers in New Zealand/Australia and UK/EU (working on an update for Canada and other regions)

If you live in New Zealand / Australia or in the UK / EU, we are currently working with the Chinese printer to find out if we can air freight copies of the Waterloo standard and deluxe edition books to these regions. These books will then be repacked and sent individually through the local Post Offices or UPS system.
IF WE CAN DO THIS, THERE IS NO ADDITIONAL COST TO OUR BACKERS FOR THIS SHIPPING. We are absorbing this extra cost even though it will now cost a lot more than what we originally estimated when we started this project back in May.
This means that the shipping fees listed in BackerKit for destinations outside the USA are lower than what it will actually cost us to get your book(s) and other add-on items to you. (We are working on a separate update for backers who live in Canada or other countries outside the UK-EU and AUS-NZ regions.)
We will charge credit cards soon, so if anyone wants to CANCEL your Kickstarter pledge or BackerKit book order, you must CANCEL by OCTOBER 10. We will refund the money you paid on Kickstarter and you will not be charged for shipping or add-on items by BackerKit. Contact [email protected] by OCTOBER 10 to cancel your Kickstarter pledge.
If you still want to wait for your book and add-on items, you don't need to do anything. We will get your books and add-on items to you as soon as we can. Thank you so much for your patience!
Once the container with the Waterloo books is sent to the port of embarkation we will update everyone, and post additional updates as soon as we have more information to share.
