Latest Updates from Our Project:

Update for our EU and UK backers
almost 3 years ago – Thu, Jan 27, 2022 at 10:18:38 PM

Tomorrow, Friday 27 January, the last of the Standard edition Waterloo books should be picked up by DPD and ParcelForce. Based upon our tests with UPS, Royal Mail (UK), ParcelForce, Hermes, and DPD we feel confident that everyone should receive their books sometime in the next two weeks.

This includes Napoleon's First Italian Campaign book if you ordered that as an add-on item. This book will be shipped in a separate package and shipped via DPD or ParcelForce services.

We held off shipping the Luxury edition books until we could be certain that the Standard books would be delivered. We printed only a limited number of Luxury edition books and cannot replace them if they are lost or destroyed in shipping. These books are planned to be shipped, probably via DPD and ParcelForce, before the end of the month and will hopefully be delivered by mid-February.

This has been as frustrating for us as it surely has been for all of you. Couriers missed collections (repeatedly), and then they changed the tracking numbers without telling us. For several weeks we had no idea where the books were. As far as we know, none of the books we test shipped were lost.

PLEASE WAIT until 16 February to contact me if your book has not arrived by then. I can provide tracking numbers to anyone who needs it. [email protected]

We are aware that backers in the EU must pay extra customs fees to receive packages shipped from the UK. We lost our EU-friendly shipping service because of the Covid lockdowns and global supply chain mess. A friend in the UK offered to help get the books to our EU and UK backers and that's how we are shipping these books.

We are now looking for an EU-based company to help get our future books to EU customers. This situation should be all set up before our next book is announced in late 2022.

Thank you for your patience and understanding!

Waterloo art book update as of January 13, 2022
almost 3 years ago – Fri, Jan 14, 2022 at 04:07:02 PM

I have been sick for almost a week now. I can do limited work, but I get tired quickly.

I took the Covid home test twice. Negative both times so that's good news. This seems to be a very bad cold (no fever). I'm hoping to get better soon so I can start repacking the Waterloo books for the USA and Canadian backers.

I see your comments and questions and I'm trying to get as much information as I can for you. My friends in New Zealand and the UK sent me some tracking numbers and I should have some new information after I use this weekend to do research (if the carriers' websites are working).

It has been difficult to get any information out of UPS or the other delivery services in the EU. We think we've finally found a carrier that can deliver the books (a test shipment seems to be moving toward delivery).

When I can actually locate the books online, some appear to be simply stuck somewhere and haven't moved for many days. Often there is no information at all for us to share with you. (For example, UPS changed the original tracking numbers they gave us for the packages we processed through their website for the EU. They never said why. We only found out about the new tracking numbers when we finally got an email from UPS after our repeated unsuccessful attempts to reach them by phone or email.)

I realize that many of you are frustrated by these delays. I wish I had a better answer.

I hope to have more details to post in an update on Monday 1/17.

Thank you so much for your understanding and continued patience.

Waterloo books for the USA and Canada were delivered to Dana's warehouse!
almost 3 years ago – Fri, Jan 07, 2022 at 05:39:42 PM

Yesterday the 5 pallets of Waterloo books coming via sea container were delivered to my Oakland warehouse! (See photos below.)

These books will be repacked with bubble wrap protection into individual shipping boxes along with the add-on items each backer purchased.

Books will be shipped as quickly as I can type labels for them.

Throughout the rest of January I hope to ship all USA, Canadian, and other countries outside of UK-EU-NZ-AUS. For backers in these last four regions, the books were delivered to our representatives in the UK and NZ before Christmas, but there have been shipping and delivery issues. We hope to resolve these problems in January as well.

5 pallets of Waterloo books were delivered to Dana's warehouse yesterday. Repacking into individual cartons begins this week. Shipping begins next week.

Update on Waterloo books to Kickstarter and BackerKit customers in the US and Canada
almost 3 years ago – Mon, Dec 20, 2021 at 10:40:45 AM

The freight forwarding company's latest information is that the sea container with the Waterloo books is on a ship sitting off the coast of California. They estimate delivery to my warehouse in Oakland, CA around December 29.

If this schedule is achieved I can repack the Waterloo books in bubble wrap and individual shipping boxes (along with any add-on items) and put them in the US Postal system in early January as quickly as they are sealed and labeled.

Another update will be posted as soon as we have more information.

Happy holidays to everyone. May you have a wonderful holiday season.

Update on Waterloo books to Kickstarter and BackerKit customers in NZ and Australia
almost 3 years ago – Mon, Dec 20, 2021 at 10:40:41 AM

As of December 17 (NZTZ) the first Waterloo books, with add-on items, were being shipped.

We don't know what kind of delays are being experienced with the postal systems in NZ and AUS, but if our backers "down under" don't receive your Waterloo books before Christmas, those packages should hopefully arrive before the New Year.

The 1st Italian Campaign books were shipped from the USA but have not yet been delivered to our guy in NZ. These books will be repacked and mailed as quickly as possible.

Thanks for your patience. May you all have a wonderful holiday season!
